Big Thank Yous
- A HUGE thank you to Ann Degan for all of her tireless work, passion, and magic touch in keeping our front garden healthy and abundant with color and blooms throughout the year! This is for many of us our favorite spot in the Cluster and a source of joy and appreciation for many community members and passers-by as we see folks stopping to take pictures of the flowers throughout the seasons. Words fail to convey the gratitude we have for you, Ann. Thank you so much for all that you do and share with the community. We appreciate you so much!
- A BIG thank you to Travis and Sara Sigler for hosting and coordinating our Cluster Clean-ups last year! We got so much done and your guidance and coordination were so appreciated! The Cluster clean-up week with the parking lot Halloween party was especially successful and a lot of fun! Thank you so much!
- A BIG thank you to Leann Yoder, Sara Sigler, Amanda McGill, Kristina Saunders, Amanda Johnson, and all neighbors and friends for hosting and coordinating our Halloween parking lot party! It was a lot of fun and such a great way to see folks, connect, eat great food, listen to music and catch up. Thank you, thank you!
- Another BIG thank you to Amanda McGill for leading and coordinating our late summer/early fall excursion to support Watt Hamelt’s band Mandatory Recess AND the Secret Santa holiday activity for the Cluster! It was so much fun and such a great way to lift spirits, dance A LOT, and make the holidays a little extra special.
- A BIG thank you to Jessica Lawless for supporting our Brookshire website.
- A BIG thank you to Youssef Baker for all his work to streamline our community gutter cleaning and mulch orders!
- A BIG thank you to Charles Lincoln for streamlining our automated invoice and payment system for the Brookshire quarterly dues!
Updates and Reminders
- While every Board position is up for election, we are not actively looking to fill any role at this time. Volunteers are welcome for all committees and positions.
- Attached to this email are the “roles and responsibilities” for each position.
- If you are interested in any of the Board positions, please let us know as soon as possible and before our annual meeting.
- We are still looking for volunteers to start a quarterly Cluster newsletter. This will be a great place for formal announcements, pics, out and about updates, seasonal updates, stories, etc. Your contributions are appreciated!
- A friendly reminder: Please be mindful of our limited number of parking spaces. We have 26 units and 14 guest parking spaces. Many of our homes have gone from single to multiple occupancies which means that at any given time up to 10 residents will find they have to park on Moorings.
- The Reston Farmers Market at Lake Anne will open late April-early May, closing in early December. Farmers Market hours are from 8:00 a.m. – Noon.
